Ah, summer! What a way to start - the sun is out here in Traverse City and I am working away on jewelry. Sun and making jewelry - two of my favorite things. This is my first post and I am trying to figure this blogging thing out. I am going to try and think of it as my journal. Why "My own Ulendo.."? Well ulendo means journey in Nyasaland (now Malawi) language. I came across it while reading Archie Carr's book "Ulendo: Travels of a naturalist in and out of Africa". I have always wanted to go to Africa since I was a little girl for some reason. As I got older, it was to go to see the wildlife and the scenery. One day I will...but for now I am on another ulendo. My very own. Over the next few days I will try to catch you up on my life - where I have been (mentally and physically) and let you know where I might be going!
I will try and keep you up to date on my jewelry (www.loonsongdesigns.etsy.com), as well as a few other aspects of my life. I am starting to train for my triathlons (super late getting started) and I have been training for a marathon. So I will keep you posted on that.
I need to catch up on some orders and get them out today. Cheers!
